We hold several trainings throughout the year.  This training was held at the Northport/East Northport Library with the NDATF & LICADD.  It is a one hour training, that will qualify participants in the proper administration of Naloxone, the antidote for opioid overdose.
Naloxone is an opioid antagonist.  it attaches to prod receptors and reverses and blocks the effects of other opioids.  This will quickly restore normal breathing to a person if their breathing has slowed or stopped because of an opioid.  Everyone should take a class.
